Casa Bom Vento was named one of the top five catering firms by the government within a year. They used to cater to local luminaries (ex-chief justices, the past four presidents of Singapore, the Prime Minister, ministers, foreign dignitaries, and so on). Chef Lionel, who is a Peranakan, seeks to incorporate both cuisines into his dishes. When he was successful, his restaurant and catering services grew in popularity.
