Singapore Philatelic Museum

Stamps are one of the most important and ingenious inventions that are still widely used today for transportations of mails and letters. Invented in 1838 in the United Kingdom, Stamps have allowed communication and the transfer of long and short-haul goods. By prepaying for the service of postage shipment, stamps have allowed postage shipment to be easy and seamless.

Stamps then came in many different designs and shapes. This has caused many collectors to keep stamps as a hobby or safekeeping. The Singapore Philatelic Museum has an extensive collection of stamps and other related items from all over the globe from the 1830s till today. Showing antiques from the past till today and how they have evolved over time. Featuring a colonial posting box outside at the historical building allows you to go back in time. Stamps are sold at the museum, and you can even personalize your own stamp.
