Singapore Botanic Gardens
Singapore is well-known as a City in a Garden. The Singapore Botanic Gardens is the first UNESCO Heritage Site in Singapore, joining the ranks of iconic landmarks such as Cambodia’s Angkor Wat and The Great Wall of China.
Established in 1859 with the aid of using the Agri-Horticultural Society, 60 acres of land had been converted from a disused plantation into the famous leisure lawn today.
It is a popular venue for jogging, eating or simply relaxing. The sprawling grounds are a hub for botanical and horticultural research.
The National Orchid Garden, the world’s most extensive orchid display, has over 60,000 vegetation and orchid.
