Ya Kun Kaya Toast
Ya Kun is a popular spot for traditional breakfast by both locals and tourists and is well known internationally.
Ya Kun is well known for its traditional kaya with its homemade recipe - jam made with coconuts and eggs, kaya is served added to toasted white bread with salted butter.

Kaya toast
The perfect combination to go with any type of coffee or tea. The Kaya toast is slices of toasted bread that has a thick layer of kaya that is top with a golden yellow butter on it. Often it is paired with a runny delicious soft boil egg by dipping the bread into the egg. Soya sauce and pepper could also be added to enhance the overall flavour.
