This last surviving kampong in Singapore is one of the remnants of Singapore's past of how Singaporeans used to live. The village is located near the East side of Singapore, close to Yio Chu Kang and Serangoon. The kampong allows visitors to catch a glimpse of Singapore's part and the locals living there can share their life experience back before HDBs began being built in Singapore.

As HDB development continues to creep near the area, only time will tell whether this fascinating village will survive in the 21st century. In recent times, there have been discussions on how to improve on and modernize the kampong village while keeping to its roots.
